Restoration of a 1984 280i "Barn Find"

Classic Motor Works acquired a "barn find"  1984 TVR Tasmin/280i in north Georgia in the Spring of 2007.  This car, #BDH1160, was built by TVR Engineering Ltd. June 17, 1984 and was assigned Works Order # 84-0160.  It was finished in White with red interior and a black top.  The car has spent its life in Georgia and had been stored in a weathertight barn for the five years prior to its purchase.

We have been chronicling the refurbishment of this car over the past two years including what parts from the Classic Motor Works inventory we used as part of that process, with periodic updates so you could see the progress on the car.

We thank all of you who have commented on this project and appreciate all the kind comments from everyone who has viewed the car at events.  We hope it has helped inspire you to bring your Tasmin or 280i back on the road so you, too, can enjoy your wedge as much as we are enjoying ours.
