Classic Motor Works - TVR - About Us
Classic Motor Works, the only classic TVR parts business in the United States, was founded by Gene Bird in Johnstown, PA in 1982. Bird, who was also a TVR dealer for some years, endeavored to provide parts to TVR owners so they would not have to source these parts overseas.
In April 2006, veteran TVR owner/enthusiast Marshall Moore, President of the TVR Car Club North America, acquired Classic Motor Works from Bird and has steadily been expanding the parts offerings.
Although a number of TVR parts, particularly for the older models, have not been made in decades, Moore has been searching out sources for various items, buying up New Old Stock (NOS) parts wherever possible, and even has had some parts reproduced that have not been available for some time.
Classic Motor Works has a large inventory of Tasmin/280i parts as well as parts for the M-series, 2500,Vixen, Tuscan, Griffith and Grantura models on hand. Some parts are available on an “order only” basis because they are made to order, so please allow sufficient time for this process. Such items will be indicated in the on-line catalog as “order only” to denote this.
As you navigate this site, you will also notice periodic specials, new items and even used parts that may be of interest to you. If you are looking for something that you do not see on the site, please contact Marshall and he will try to find the item for you, if possible.
Classic Motor Works seeks to provide as many parts for your classic TVR as are available. Towards this end, we carry AVO and SPAX adjustable shock absorbers, Superflex and AutoBush polyurethane suspension bushings and will be adding other items in the near future including front windshields for the pre-wedge and and wedge TVRs.
Since April 2006, Moore and CMW have served TVR owners throughout the United States and Canada, England, Scotland, France, Germany, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates. Thank you for visiting our website and we look forward to serving you.
